Dr Kent Lin is a fertility specialist, obstetrician–gynaecologist, and advanced laparoscopic surgeon with a special interest in endometriosis and complex gynaecological conditions. With over 17 years of clinical experience, he is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based, and individualised care for women at every stage of their lives.
Dr Lin believes the treatment of endometriosis requires a multidisciplinary approach. While surgery can be an important option for some patients, he takes a balanced approach that includes medical management, consolidating emotional resilience, pain management and fertility considerations. His priority is to collaborate with each patient, ensuring that treatment decisions align with their values, life style and long-term wellbeing.
In order to provide optimal, evidence-based care, Dr Lin has achieved further fellowships in two world-class centres: the Centre for Advanced Reproductive Endosurgery in Sydney ( a leading unit that has trained eminent gynaecologists from around the world) and the Asia-Pacific Association of Gynecologic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy (APAGE), during which he undertook advanced clinical fellowship experience at the Advanced Endoscopic Gynaecological Oncology Centre at China Medical University Hospital in Taiwan. This pioneering centre is internationally recognised for innovation in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery and was privileged to be invited, as early as 1998, to perform live surgery at the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) Annual Global Congress. It is also one of only a few centres worldwide to participate in the novel program of uterine transplantation and Dr Lin had the honour of being part of this innovative surgical team.
Dr Lin’s commitment to holistic care extends beyond surgical and medical management. In his practice, he recognised women need more than just conventional care. Women experiencing chronic pelvic pain, severe pregnancy-related nausea, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), subfertility, and menopausal symptoms require wellness strategies too. Motivated to broaden his ability to help them, he undertook formal training in evidence-based medical acupuncture. Now a Fellow of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College, he integrates acupuncture into his practice where appropriate, particularly in the management of chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis-related pain. His expertise in acupuncture and pain management is well recognised internationally, and he has published peer-reviewed research on the efficacy of acupuncture for chronic pelvic pain. Today he has expanded his practice to general medical acupuncture.
Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Lin is actively involved in research, education, and international collaboration. He holds a Master of Medicine in Reproductive Health Sciences and Human Genetics from the University of Sydney and continues his academic involvement there as a Senior Clinical Lecturer. He is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Royal North Shore Hospital and previously served as Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Ryde Hospital, where he led clinical services and supported service development within the department.
As an Early Career Ambassador for the World Endometriosis Society, Dr Lin is dedicated to improving access to equitable, optimal care globally and fostering collaboration in endometriosis research and education.

He believes that good care brings together clinical expertise, compassion, patience, and a genuine partnership with each patient. He strives to create a supportive environment where women feel heard, understood, empowered, and truly cared for.
